Located in south west France, the former Roman province, shows the region around Gironde river, with the Pyrenees mountains to the south, Mediterranean in the south west. An insert shows a Panoramic view of Bordeaux. Other two inserts show fortified cities of Bayonnes and Blays. A massive and intricate title cartouche shows the cost of arms supported by two women in ancient and medieval dress. A figure dressed in Roman Military attire holds a spear and a decorated shield.
