🪙Roman Empire, Domitian reign 81-96 C.E., Rome mint. Silver denarius weighs 3.2 grams and measures 20 mm in diameter. The obverse features a laureate head of the emperor. The observe legend includes “GERMANIC” instead of the usual “GERM”. The reverse depicts Minerva holding a spear. Uniquely, the reverse does not have the usual legend around it but includes “CENS PPP,” a variant not previously seen in Domitian’s Minerva reverse types. This is considered a RARE VARIANT. The coin is in VF (Very Fine) condition. Authenticity is guaranteed.
