Struck in 1748, this silver cob 4 reales weighs 13.3 grams and measures 26 mm in diameter. The four reales coins are noted to be more scarce than the eight reales versions. The obverse of the coin features a cross with castles and lions in the quarters, emblematic symbols of the Spanish Empire. The reverse showcases the Pillars of Hercules and waves, a design that includes the date and denomination.
