Dating back to 1729 and originating from Amsterdam, this biblical map of the Middle East is sourced from a Dutch Bible and crafted by D. Stoopendaal. It encompasses the region from the Mediterranean to the Persian Gulf, including the Holy Land, Phoenicia, Syria, Cyprus, Jordan, Babylonia, Assyria, Mesopotamia, and Persia. The map depicts significant biblical events such as the wandering of the Israelites and Jonah and the whale, as well as scenes from the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve, and Noah’s Ark. Hand-colored and copperplate engraved, it remains in overall good condition, with minor centerfold separation and stains on the margins. Measuring 18 inches by 13 1/2 inches, its authenticity is guaranteed.
